I have been taking part in the Camp NaNoWriMo 2021 exercises during this year where the target or rather the goal is to write at least 50000 words for a book in a period of one month. This can be used as a guideline for not only books, but other types of writing projects such as fan fiction stories and even journals!

Here is more information on how to enter the process. And it’s all free, unless you want to donate a little something here and there: What is Camp NaNoWriMo?

I started with this process last year during the October 2020 Camp. Not that I wasn’t writing before. I was totally so on daily basis! But ever since starting following up on my writing on the site, the Dashboard for my project, I find that my daily word count has gone up exponentially. Writing around 2500 words per day, sometimes even more, is not hard at all! Even if it is only for my own bookkeeping, this has been a great way to encourage myself to create more. Plus to actually complete the books I have started. Even today, I just finished another book in less than thirty days!

So now, after having so many drafts in my to-do folder, I am starting the arduous process of editing them and hopefully by the end of this year, I will have several books published as I have three series going on with fourteen books in between them written as first draft. Keep you fingers crossed for me will ya, because I sure am!

Today is the final day of CampNaNoWriMo2021. My total word count so far is 60,435 of the target of 50,000 words, so I not only achieved my goal, but exceeded it! Go me, yay!

Well that is the good news. The other news is that I still have some effort to complete the book, which will be the seventh/eight depending on the editing in the series of “Perfection” which is my upon coming sci-fi book series. So, thus the final leg of book begins and I, will be typing away through the ever lightening nights 😉

This has been a busy month of writing to say the least but also there was a great incentive to do so once again with the gang at NaNoWriMo.org foundation and those writers taking part in this challenge feeling my pain or fun or what ever the sensation might be, to be on top of things and to achieve the allotted timeframes.

If you haven’t already, then go and check out what is going on at the NaNoWriMo site as there are all kinds of information for writers and also these cool camps to participate in, find other writers and finally start working on that novel you had planned!

Happy writing all!
